Who am I?

Food O'Clock was born from two passions: teaching and nutrition.

I originally trained as a language teacher in higher education. I've always enjoyed interacting with young people- helping them discover a new language and culture, and encouraging them to step outside their routine and explore new perspectives. I try to show them how opening new doors can be a transformative experience. It leads to deeper self-awareness, which in turn empowers them to take action and pursue their goals with intention.

I’ve applied this principle in my own life as well, through my role as Head of International Relations at my institution

Things could have stayed that way.
But then, I attended a conference on the gut-brain connection — and it changed everything. 

That’s when I first learned about the link between poor nutrition and learning difficulties. It was a wake-up call. From that moment on, I couldn’t stop exploring the field of nutrition.

Eventually, I realized that reading about it wasn’t enough.

Coming from a linguistics background, I lacked a more scientific foundation to better understand all these interactions and I felt compelled to learn more.

 

I then enrolled at Cerden (European Centre for Research, Development and Teaching in Nutrition and Nutritherapy). Over the course of three years, I studied topics such as the structure and function of the human body, its cellular needs, the endocrine system, the role of the gut microbiome, that of vitamins and trace elements, and even how to interpret blood test results. 

 

In 2019, I earned a diploma as a "Certified Human Nutrition Consultant." Since then, I have continued to deepen my knowledge  through additional training in gut health, mindful eating, and chrononutrition.

 

Food O'Clock stands at the crossroads of these two paths. From my teaching background comes the deep belief in listening, guiding and opening minds to different ways of living.

From my work as a nutrition consultant comes a clear principle :  whatever your profile, eating the right foods at the right time can help you reach a new sense of balance!
